200-Hour Teacher Training

A full Yoga Alliance foundation, taught in person at our Venice studio over one focused autumn. Sixteen places, one cohort, supervised teaching from the very first week.

This is the training we wished existed when we started. Not a certificate you collect and shelve, but the real groundwork of becoming a teacher: anatomy that respects bodies as they actually are, sequencing you can use the morning after, and enough time on the mat in front of real people that teaching stops feeling like a performance.

The cohort begins on Saturday 12 September 2026 and runs through the autumn at our Venice studio. We keep it small on purpose. Sixteen places, one group, the same faces every week. You will know everyone’s name by the second weekend, and they will know yours.

What you’ll learn

The 200 hours cover the foundations every good teacher carries: functional anatomy and the principles of safe movement, the art and logic of sequencing, hands-on adjustments offered with consent and care, the history and philosophy that give the practice its depth, and the practical business of actually running a class.

From week one you teach. We build up slowly, from a single cue to a full class, with a mentor in the room and honest feedback after every session. By the end you will have stood at the front of a real room more times than you can count, and it will feel like home.

The details

When. The cohort opens on Saturday 12 September 2026 and meets through the autumn, weekends and selected weekday evenings. Full session times are confirmed with your place.

Where. In person at the Solas Venice studio. This is a hands-on, in-the-room training, not an online course.

Investment. $3,400 for the full 200-hour programme. A payment plan is available, so you can spread the cost across the months of the training rather than meeting it all at once.

Places. Sixteen, and no more. We would rather turn people away than dilute the room.

What’s included

Your place covers all 200 contact hours with our senior teaching team, the full course manual, supervised teaching practice with one-to-one feedback, and your Yoga Alliance foundation on completion. You also keep unlimited access to our regular class schedule for the length of the training, because the best way to learn to teach is to keep practising.

Who it’s for

You do not need to be able to bind into a perfect pose or hold a handstand. You need a steady, honest practice of roughly a year, a genuine wish to teach, and the willingness to be a beginner again. We have trained dancers and accountants, new parents and recent retirees. What they shared was not flexibility. It was showing up.

If that sounds like you, we would love to talk it through before you commit. Tell us a little about your practice and what you are hoping for, and we will be honest about whether this cohort is the right one for you. Start the conversation on our contact page and we will be in touch.

Sixteen places. One autumn.

The September cohort opens for enquiries now, and small rooms fill quickly.
